Staff and students of IIHR-Hydroscience & Engineering were hands-on during the 2008 floods.

Recruiting and training talented graduate and undergraduate students is key to the Iowa Flood Center’s success.  Students representing The University of Iowa and Iowa State University are trained in a diversity of subjects and conduct cutting-edge research that supports the mission of the Center.  They represent tomorrow’s leaders in our ongoing efforts to better understand, predict, monitor, and to live with major flood events.
