I am interested in exploring the physical processes and variables pertaining to flood generation through the use of numerical tools and data analysis. This knowledge will be applied in the development of calibration-free hydrological models that take advantage of space-based remote sensing data available for almost all regions in the world. This model is an important tool to solve the problem of hydrological prediction in ungauged or poorly gauged basins, or in regions under climate or land cover change.

During my previous years at IIHR, I also had the opportunity to work on different projects, including the development of the data quality control system for the Iowa Flood Center Raingauge Network.
