Iowa Flood Center Partners

The State of Iowa established and funded the new Iowa Flood Center in 2009.  This effort was spearheaded by several Iowa Senators and Representatives and by Drs. Larry Weber and Witold Krajewski of IIHR-Hydroscience & Engineering at The University of Iowa.  $1,300,000 was appropriated by the state for the Center in its first year (FY2010). 

The Iowa Flood Center collaborates with a variety of agencies and organizations, some also providing additional funding for specific projects. 

Research and education conducted by the Iowa Flood Center is funded by the State of Iowa with additional support for Center projects from:

The National Science Foundation
National Aeronautics and Space Administration
The University of Iowa
The City of Coralville
